Knights Defeat Bazookas to get back their title

The deafening sound of cheering is heard within the area as both teams go head-to-head against each other. The Al Taj Knights gave their best shots this season. They trained hard, attempted hundreds of layups and 3-pointers, runners. They dazzled fans and overwhelmed opponents. But every time they leave the court, the Knights seemed to be building toward a something bigger and better, toward the biggest goal of every basketball team, the grandest prize.

The Knights made history, a journey they completed together last Friday Night at Al Shark Hotel with a victory over the Riyadh International School Bazookas in 3rd Season Laguna Lakers Basketball Tournament finals.

Al Taj Knights celebrated their back to back championship in 2016-2017’s basketball season. When the final buzzer sounded, the players stopped at center court as silence fell over the crowd. The Knights won the championship with the score of 83-76, countering every move that the Bazooka made and the points, rebounds and assists that their main scorers could produce.

“To you God be all the glory! We are Champions once again.”, said Arnold Ben, the coach of the Knights. Each and every one on the team scored and cheered as hard as they can, to lead the Knights, who ensured that the hard work in this championship-starved city will linger for a while longer.

Physical games vs. Mental games

With the advancement of technology, more and more video games are rising in popularity, thus attract people to engage in the world of gaming. Nowadays, the youth would prefer sitting in front of their monitors than going out of their house, much less do something physically straining.

Video games have been rising in popularity among teenagers. They are attracted to the idea that they can explore a new world while staying in front of a monitor. As a result, they ignore physical activities which can be done outside their house. This has a negative effect on the teenagers who hole up inside their house, in more ways than one. Video games stimulates intellect and teaches people how to focus on one task for hours on end. It helps increase their psychology for extended concentration and effort.

Outdoor activities are very essential, even if a person simply starts walking. This means that energy is burnt off which helps to increase physical fitness. Having some physical activities doesn’t really mean that it helps a person concentrate. In fact, they help our mind to wander, the part of relaxing element involved with outdoor activities. Outdoor Activities that involve games are just as competitive as video games, and this thing is good for people on a psychological level. This kind of competitions encourages people and helps people to be healthy and strive to be better. Outdoor activities with games and different kind of competitions are far more social than video games, this helps people to be more sociable and most likely to take part in social activities.

So far, indulging both video games and outdoor activities in equal measure would be more fun. Just like any form of creation, too much of one thing can be bad. Having both of these activities would be healthy and positive for both adults and children these days.
